ACE Inventor received the President's Award of the Korea Institute of Civil Engineering and Building Technology at the Smart Construction startup idea competition on 20 November 2024.

KICT is a government-funded research institute responsible for verifying the performance of construction materials and methods. An award from that quarter meant the technology had been judged as a building component rather than as generating equipment.

The relationship deepened afterwards. In December the company took validation space at the institute's headquarters, and in March 2025 it was selected for KICT's validation research programme.

The two now run field validation of lightweight and heating modules together, generating the data on which application standards for buildings can be written.

ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
