Money Today profiled ACE Inventor on 3 December 2025 as part of a series on companies selected for the Gyeonggi centre's climate tech programme.

The article described the company as a foundry for solar modules — handling design, development, production and certification of a customer's module in one place.

It also set out the state of the domestic industry. Chinese-made cells account for 95 per cent of the market for that core component against 4 per cent produced in Korea, while the International Energy Agency expects global renewable capacity to more than double over five years, with solar taking 80 per cent of the growth.

"I want to revive a domestic solar industry that has gone quiet," Joung said. "We intend to lead the global renewable market with modules that combine cost competitiveness with high efficiency, light weight, colour, transparency and flexibility."

The KS certification under way at the time was obtained in March 2026.

ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
