Hankyung Job&Joy interviewed Young Soo Joung on 30 October 2024, with the company's plan to extend BIPV into both architecture and agriculture at the centre of the piece.

Weight and opacity had kept conventional modules out of both. An opaque sheet over a greenhouse stops the crop; an ageing wall cannot carry the load in the first place.

The agricultural plan later took shape as an ETFE-based vertical agrivoltaic module, designed to pass a set proportion of light so that growing and generating can proceed together.

On the architectural side the requirement was certification. The company obtained KS C 8577 in March 2026 and is preparing supply for both public procurement and private projects.

ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites.
