ACE Inventor received venture business certification on 18 October 2023. Granted after an assessment of technology and commercial viability, the certification functions as a baseline requirement for government programmes and technology-based finance.
The company qualified on its next-generation cell development and large-area coating process. The certification also opened access to tax provisions for research staff and to guarantee- and investment-linked schemes.
The company's frame was assembled over two months in late 2023: the research institute in September, venture certification in October, and the move into the university collaboration centre in November.
The credentials told almost immediately. Selection as a KIBO TECH Valley company in January 2024 and as a growth-sharing company by the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency that July both rested on them.
ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
