ACE Inventor Unveils FRP Lightweight Solar Products for Heating and Vehicle Applications
ACE Inventor exhibited its new FRP lightweight heating solar module at the 2026 International Green Energy Expo. The hybrid construction laminates an electric heating film inside the module, combining power generation with snow and ice clearing in a single product.
The 640 W-class prototype on display uses a TOPCon M12 configuration with 132 half-cells, delivering up to 640 W at 20.09% efficiency. The module measures 1,314 × 2,424 mm and weighs 15.24 kg — about 4.8 kg/m², against 15–20 kg/m² for a conventional glass module.
The heating function works by passing current through a conductive pattern; electrical resistance generates heat, which travels through the backsheet and encapsulant to the module surface and melts the contact layer between snow and glass. Once that layer melts, snow slides off under gravity, transmission recovers and generation resumes.
The product targets light-roofed facilities — polytunnels, greenhouses, barns, factories and warehouses — of the kind that suffered heavy damage in Korea's November 2024 snowfall.
