Selected for the Early Startup Package Programme
ACE Inventor was selected for the Early Startup Package on 1 May 2023, its first commercialization budget and one secured six months after incorporation.
The task in front of the company was well defined: take a cell that worked on a laboratory bench and grow it into a module large enough to clad a building. Enlarging the area raises electrode resistance and unsettles coating uniformity — problems of process rather than material.
The grant was divided between prototyping and market validation. Large-area lamination equipment and control of electrode uniformity emerged from that work as the decisive conditions for volume production.
Those requirements became, in effect, the equipment specification. From securing the Hwaseong factory in April 2024 to completing a 50 MW line in March 2025, machinery was chosen by working backwards from what the product demanded.
ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Its patent portfolio includes seven registered Korean patents and one registered US patent, with 23 applications filed in Korea and abroad. Contact info@aceivt.com · www.aceivt.com
