Mutual-Growth MOUs with Two Daejeon Disability Organisations Put a Vietnam Motorbike Solar Canopy Project First
On 27 October 2026 ACE Inventor signed memoranda of understanding on mutual growth with two Daejeon organisations: the Daejeon Transport Disability Rehabilitation Association and the Daejeon Federation of Disability Organisations. Both are chaired by Choi Jeong-gyu. The agreements pair the company's lightweight solar module technology and manufacturing with the two bodies' networks among disability organisations and their work on social value.
Four areas of cooperation are set out: distributing the company's lightweight solar modules and related products at home and abroad and identifying business opportunities; exchanging the information and the human and material resources each side needs; cooperating on employment creation for people with disabilities and on social value; and any further matters the parties agree are necessary. Notably, employment and social value are written into the agreements rather than left implicit.
The parties selected a solar canopy programme for motorbikes in Vietnam as their first joint project. The idea is to supply canopies that provide shade and generate power in a country where motorbikes are the main means of transport. The agreements record an estimated volume of about 80 million units — but state plainly that the figure is a reference point for assessing the project and creates no purchase or supply obligation for either party. It is best read as an estimate of the scale of motorbike ownership across Vietnam, not as an order.
Responsibilities are divided. ACE Inventor handles the technology, manufacture and supply of canopy products built around its lightweight solar modules, while the two associations draw on their organisations and networks to help advance the project. Specific roles, volumes and conditions are to be agreed case by case. For ACE Inventor the agreements extend the product beyond roofs and façades. Lightweight curved modules place little load on a structure and can follow a variety of shapes, which suits small structures such as canopies. The move also adds Southeast Asia to a year in which the company has pursued an export partnership for the United States and Singapore and supply talks in the Middle East.
ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Its patent portfolio includes seven registered Korean patents and one registered US patent, with 23 applications filed in Korea and abroad. Contact info@aceivt.com · www.aceivt.com
