NDA Signed with a Domestic Automaker on Vehicle-Integrated Solar Modules
ACE Inventor signed a non-disclosure agreement with a domestic automaker in May 2026 covering vehicle-integrated solar modules for body panels and curved surfaces.
Representatives of the company visited the Hwaseong plant the same month to inspect the production line and evaluate samples.
The automotive application follows from the formability of FRP. It can be pressed into curves, and the absence of glass lowers the risk of fragments on impact — both requirements for exterior vehicle components. In April 2026 the company showed a 2.8-kilogram vehicle-integrated sunroof module at the International Green Energy Expo.
Vehicle-integrated photovoltaics supplement the range of an electric vehicle by generating while driving, an area global automakers have been examining for some years. Mobility is the company's second application axis after construction.
ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Its patent portfolio includes seven registered Korean patents and one registered US patent, with 23 applications filed in Korea and abroad. Contact info@aceivt.com · www.aceivt.com
