Named a KIBO Value-Up Core Company
ACE Inventor was selected on 22 July 2024 for the Korea Technology Finance Corporation's integrated programme for technology transfer and commercialization, worth 100 million won over one year to July 2025.
The programme weighs technology transfer record alongside commercialization capability. The assessment took account of the core technologies the company had licensed from the Sookmyung Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation — recognition of research moved into corporate ownership and carried through to a production process.
During the same period the company completed KIBO's intellectual property valuation of its hydrogel solar cell manufacturing technology.
The relationship moved to equity the following year. On 28 May 2025 KIBO invested 800 million won in redeemable convertible preferred stock, shifting its support from guarantees and grants to shareholding.
ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Its patent portfolio includes seven registered Korean patents and one registered US patent, with 23 applications filed in Korea and abroad. Contact info@aceivt.com · www.aceivt.com
