ACE Inventor moved into the Industry Collaboration Center at Sookmyung Women's University on 1 November 2023, taking space for commercialization work alongside the university's analytical equipment and research staff.

For an early-stage manufacturer, access to university infrastructure is no small asset. Until in-house instruments arrive, materials evaluation and reliability testing can be run on campus.

There the company refined membrane formulation and coating conditions, feeding the results into its module laminate design.

The move also began a division of space by function. The cross-campus startup site, opened in March 2024, took module design and product planning; the Hwaseong factory, secured a month later, took production — leaving research, design and manufacturing in three distinct places.

ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
