KRW 800 Million Investment from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation
The Korea Technology Finance Corporation invested 800 million won in ACE Inventor on 28 May 2025 in redeemable convertible preferred stock, the largest single cheque in the company's Pre-A round.
Moving from guarantees to equity changed the nature of the support. The relationship had begun with TECH Valley selection in January 2024 and continued through the 100-million-won integrated commercialization programme that July.
The assessment centred on the hydrogel solar cell manufacturing technology. The company holds seven registered Korean patents and one trademark, and has built a filing portfolio spanning materials, process and module construction.
The proceeds went into stabilising the production line and obtaining certification. In November the company separately secured 400 million won of investment-conditional lending from the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency at 2.52 per cent.
ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001. Its patent portfolio includes seven registered Korean patents and one registered US patent, with 23 applications filed in Korea and abroad. Contact info@aceivt.com · www.aceivt.com
