ACE Inventor was named to the Jeonbuk Promising Startup Scale-up 100 on 20 September 2023, a programme that pairs commercialization funding with investment introductions and market development for selected regional companies.

The pitch was the conversion of building envelopes into generating assets — curtain walls, glass railings and curved façades, the surfaces conventional modules had left alone.

Behind it sits Korea's zero-energy building timetable. Beginning in 2020 with public buildings above 1,000 square metres, the mandate has widened towards private buildings and apartment blocks, and the requirement that a building generate its own power underpins demand for BIPV.

The company appeared on the same list again in October 2024. Between the two selections it secured the Hwaseong factory and began installing production equipment.

ACE Inventor Inc., founded in November 2022, develops ultra-lightweight building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) modules. Its core technologies are a water-based hydrogel electrolyte membrane, electrophoretic large-area flexible electrode coating, and ultra-lightweight curved module design using FRP and ETFE composites. The company operates a 50 MW annual production line in Paltan-myeon, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do, and holds KS C 8577 BIPV module certification together with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001.
