In June 2023 ACE Inventor closed a KRW 300 million seed round led by Korea Value Investment. Coming just seven months after incorporation, it was the company's first institutional investment and recognised the commercial potential of its hydrogel-based dye-sensitised solar cell technology.

The proceeds were directed towards building a production system for large-area module manufacturing and developing BIPV module prototypes, with particular focus on the multi-cell process needed to fabricate many cells into a single module.

The seed round became the starting point of a staged funding roadmap that would later include selection for DeepTech-TIPS and investment from CNT Tech, the Korea Technology Finance Corporation and Mobidic Ventures.
