In April 2025 the accelerator CNT Tech invested in ACE Inventor at the Pre-A stage. The company had drawn attention for using hydrogel-based dye-sensitised solar cell technology to move past the limits of conventional silicon cells, producing BIPV modules that are both light and flexible.

The technology suits dense urban settings and environmentally oriented architecture, and has been recognised for its potential in global markets. The Pre-A round was assembled alongside investment from the Korea Technology Finance Corporation during the same period.

CEO Young Soo Joung said the company would "use this investment to advance our mass-production system and, working with leading construction and automotive companies at home and abroad, move field demonstration projects into full gear," adding that ACE Inventor intends "to lead the global market with next-generation solar solutions fit for a carbon-neutral era."

Hwa Sung Jeon, CEO of CNT Tech, described ACE Inventor as "a company that has built independent competitiveness in a field with high technical barriers," and said he expects it "to act as a game changer in the BIPV market."
