In December 2023 ACE Inventor was selected for DeepTech-TIPS, a flagship programme of Korea's Ministry of SMEs and Startups that identifies and supports promising startups across ten emerging industries. Under the scheme, government R&D funding follows an initial private investment.

Combining KRW 300 million from Weltousi Venture Investment and Korea Value Investment with KRW 1.5 billion in DeepTech-TIPS funding, the company secured KRW 1.8 billion in development capital over three years, directed at building-integrated and agrivoltaic solar modules.

The selection recognised the company's hydrogel-based solar cell technology. Hydrogel cells tolerate low incidence angles with little efficiency loss under varying light levels and can be produced in a wide range of colours, making them well suited to interior and exterior BIPV applications. Unlike conventional silicon cells, they use environmentally benign materials.

CEO Young Soo Joung set out the goal of "securing decisive technological competitiveness and growing into a deep-tech unicorn by 2030."
